Durham, NC - (Friday, December 17, 2021) --- The Durham County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of Jordan Alexander Jefferys, 24, of Raleigh, for multiple charges stemming from a domestic dispute that originated in Wake County and ended in Durham County last night. The incident occurred Thursday, December 16, 2021, around 11:00 p.m. and was observed by a Sheriff’s Office reserve deputy.
According to investigators, a DCSO patrol deputy was dispatched to a call for service along the intersection of US 70 and Sherron Road in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival and after questioning everyone involved, it was determined Jefferys was witnessed to be engaged in an altercation with a female companion inside a vehicle. Upon further investigation, the female victim stated the argument began on US 70 and Briar Creek Parkway in nearby Wake County. She stated that during the dispute she got out of the car. As she was walking away, a pick-up truck who witnessed the altercation while driving westbound on US 70, pulled over and picked the female victim up. According to the female victim, the male perpetrator in this incident then started to ram into the back of the truck. The vehicles stopped at the intersection of US 70 and South Miami and 911 was called.
The subject was detained, arrested without incident, and transported to the Magistrates Office last night.
As of today, Jefferys faces the following charges:
- Three (3) counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon
- Injury to Personal Property
- Assault on a Female
- Second Degree Kidnapping
Jefferys was not granted the benefit of a bond and is currently in custody at the Durham County Detention Center.
