The Durham County Sheriff’s Anti-Crime and Narcotics unit (SAC/NARC) investigates narcotics-related crimes, including clandestine and pharmaceutical drug cases, and organized crime activity.
The unit uses advanced surveillance equipment and techniques, confidential informants, and well-developed investigation skills to combat the illegal flow of narcotics in Durham County.
With the assistance of local, state and federal authorities, SAC/NARC will investigate all narcotics-related and organized crime activity throughout Durham County and surrounding areas.
The unit relies heavily on informants, including members of the community, to supply necessary information about suspicious activity and suspected illegal activity.
